Gardening can hurt!

Working in the flower beds, lawn or vegetable garden? Avoid pulling a muscle in your back. Instead of bending over to pull weeds, kneel or spread your feet slightly apart and squat, if possible. To prevent knee injury, kneel on a cushion instead of directly on the hard ground.  Hoe in forward and backward motions, using the strength of your arms and legs. Don’t twist at the waist or lean forward when hoeing or raking. I can show you safe ways to bend and lift during your next office visit. Just ask our Chiropractic Physicians at The Joint Sugar House and Cottonwood Heights. We specialize in treating lower back and neck pain.  No Appointments needed!
